Hey! I’m Laura Longmire. Milspouse, boymom, and personal wardrobe stylist.
As an Air Force spouse of over 20 years, I understand the unique demands of military life, as well as the opportunities it often presents. I also understand the language that can be confusing and often leaves you completely unsure of how you’re expected to present yourself. As a hockey mom, I’ve had to dress and pack for as much as a 50-degree swing in temperatures in a matter of hours. I’ve also lived in 6 states and 3 time zones & traveled overseas, so I have personal experience dressing for every climate as well as a variety of cultures.
Once upon a time, I hired a wardrobe stylist myself. Despite enjoying clothes shopping & having a natural sense of style, I felt stuck and needed a fresh perspective to get out of my rut. The result was a wardrobe that’s a carefully curated collection, rather than a random assortment, of clothes. This is what eventually inspired me to share what I know about style & the ins and outs of milspouse life with others. Being a military spouse is like being lost in a world that has its own culture and language that most people don’t understand. Whether it’s a dress code directed at the Active Duty member (and described with only 3 letters 😉), or dressing appropriately for a new climate or culture you’re living in, or just a general feeling of stress & frustration over shopping & getting dressed, I can help.
My family is currently stationed at Maxwell AFB, AL, and I work in Montgomery, Prattville, & the Alabama River Region as well as virtually. I’ve been professionally trained in Personal Styling, as well as Color Theory & Human Color Analysis and Shoe Styling. I offer Wardrobe Edits & Guided Shopping, as well as Travel Packing & Special Event Styling. I also offer Virtual Styling Services, so you can love the way you look, no matter where life takes you.
